Jasmine Tea Production
Jasmine tea starts out life as a green or white tea. When jasmine flowers start to bloom in the early summer, tea producers pick their buds early in the day while they are still closed. In the late afternoon the buds begin to open, and are mixed in with the selected tea. This mixture is left overnight while the now-open buds release their aroma into the tea. This process may be repeated multiple times.
The scented tea is then re-dried to remove and excess moisture and packaged.
